Guided by Proverbs 22:6, our Sunday School runs alongside the main service, providing children with an understanding of the Bible through an engaging hands-on lesson. All in a safe, loving environment where every generation belongs.

Bible stories come alive through crafts, games, and hands-on learning children actually remember. Age-appropriate lessons help children see how Jesus fits into everyday life. Whether they’re 3 or 13, every child discovers that learning about God can be the highlight of their week.

Throughout the year we venture out together as a church family exploring places like Colchester Zoo, Jimmy’s Farm, enjoy beach days on the Essex coast, fire up BBQs, and host family events. Your peace of mind matters. All our teachers are DBS-checked and committed to nurturing each child’s journey with Jesus. From our Parent and Toddler Room for Under 4s to engaging Sunday School Lessons for Children, we provide a secure space where children feel valued, protected and excited to return each week.

Let’s be honest, walking into somewhere new can feel intimidating. These quick answers will help you know exactly what to expect before attending a Church Service at Bread of Life Community Church in Clacton on Sea.

We’re a relaxed and welcoming church at Bread of Life Community Church, so there’s no formal dress code. Feel comfortable wearing tracksuits, t-shirts, shorts, or whatever helps you feel at ease. Come as you are and focus on worship and learning about the Word of God, not what you’re wearing.

We do have limited parking onsite, but don’t worry – our friendly ushers are always on hand to help all cars fit safely and efficiently. Just across the road, you’ll find the Alton Park Rd Car Park, which is free for all visitors with a Tendring Household Parking Permit (except during July and August summer holidays).

For those visiting us, our ushers will always do their best to accommodate you in our main car park. We very rarely need to use the Alton Park Rd Car Park, but when needed, parking is £3 for 4 hours.

Important note: Please avoid street parking around Brotherhood Hall, as it’s all permit parking and is actively monitored during church services. You may receive a ticket if you park on the street.

Bryans Garage Bus Stop – Just outside our door! Sunday bus services include routes 5 and 74 connecting you from across the region.

Clacton Railway Station – A short 9-minute walk brings you right to us, with regular Greater Anglia services from London and surrounding areas. hi

Absolutely! All families are warmly welcome at Bread of Life Community Church. If you could give us a heads up about attending, that would be wonderfully helpful for planning activities and ensuring we have enough supplies for our Sunday School lessons – although we always prepare extra!

Children are welcome throughout our worship and testimonies. They remain with their families right until the sermon begins, when children head off to Sunday School for age-appropriate lessons and engaging activities. After the sermon concludes, the children are invited to the front to proudly display and discuss what they’ve learned during their time together.

Sundays at 3:30 PM | About 2 hours, plus Fellowship time at the end of the service.

Expect contemporary worship music, in-depth biblical expository teaching (40-60 minutes), and genuine community connection. Children of all ages enjoy their own Sunday School during the sermon, then share what they’ve learned with everyone. We wrap up with food, conversation, and prayer support available if you need it. Come ready to connect with God and others at your own pace.
