The Vision Behind Our Existence

1. To actively preach the Gospel to the lost and to make Disciples of all Nations.

At Bread of Life Community Church, we boldly share the Gospel and make disciples because the world is lost and dying without Christ. Our mission is active, not passive, fulfilling the Great Commission to reach every nation with the life-changing message of salvation.

15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

2. To teach the uncompromising unadulterated truth of the Bible, being a source of spiritual food for the faithful remnant of believers in the last days during the famine for the Word of God.

We stand firm on uncompromised biblical truth because God’s people are starving for authentic spiritual nourishment. In an age of watered-down teaching and cultural compromise, we provide the pure Word that strengthens and sustains faith.

27 Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”

Join Pastor Stephen Clayden of Bread of Life Community Church in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, for part two of our three-part series, “Our Vision.” This message unpacks our mandate to teach the uncompromising, unadulterated truth of Scripture and to be a storehouse of spiritual food for the faithful remnant in the last days—amid the prophesied famine for hearing the Word of the Lord (Amos 8:11). Drawing on John 6:27 and Genesis 41, Pastor Stephen Clayden calls the church to gather “grain” now so believers can be nourished when biblical teaching grows scarce.

We embrace authentic Christianity by returning to the Jewish roots of our faith because modern Christianity has strayed from its biblical foundation. We choose scriptural fidelity over cultural trends, reclaiming the Gospel as it was meant to be practiced.

Our vision at Bread of Life is lived out daily: a vibrant community where every believer’s gifts are valued and deployed for God’s kingdom. We don’t settle for Sunday-only Christianity. We create continuous opportunities for worship, discipleship, and genuine fellowship that transforms lives.
While other churches compromise to fill seats, we remain unshakeable in our commitment to biblical truth. We teach Scripture without apology, knowing that God’s Word has the power to change hearts and build authentic disciples.
