The Feast of Purim Children’s Play 2026

This Purim presentation from Bread of Life Community Church retells the book of Esther in a clear and memorable way, showing how God preserved the Jewish people from destruction through Esther’s courage, Mordecai’s faithfulness, and the downfall of wicked Haman.

This children’s Purim play dramatises the main events of the book of Esther for the church congregation. Set in the Persian Empire, the story follows Queen Vashti’s removal, Esther’s rise to the throne, Mordecai’s refusal to bow to Haman, and Haman’s plot to destroy the Jewish people throughout the empire. The play shows Esther’s hidden Jewish identity, Mordecai’s challenge for her to act for such a time as this, and Esther’s brave decision to approach the king despite the risk to her own life. It then moves to the turning point where Haman’s wicked scheme is exposed, his own gallows become the instrument of his downfall, and a new decree allows the Jewish people to defend themselves. The production ends with the establishment of the Feast of Purim as a yearly remembrance of how God turned sorrow into joy and mourning into victory for His people.
